Macaque.org is maintained by the Katze laboratory, part of the Department of Microbiology and Washington National Primate Research Center at the University of Washington. Macaque genomic and proteomic resource development is supported by Public Health Service grants from the National Center for Research Resources. Funding for research activities is provided by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, and the National Institute on Drug Abuse.
